Mark Davis has a background in the earth sciences and received his PhD in geology from Yale University.  His graduate and post-graduate research focused on the effects of water and thermal history on the structural relaxation and crystallization kinetics in model glass-forming systems. Since 1990, Mark has been employed by SCHOTT North America, Inc., where his work focuses on research and development relating to current and future glass-ceramic materials, as well as relevant characterization methods. He is a member of The American Ceramic Society and the American Geophysical Union.
