Prof. Dr. Sanjay Yadav obtained his master's degree in science (M.Sc.) in 1985 and his Ph.D. degree in Physics in 1990. Presently, he is Vice President of the Metrology Society of India. He was the Former Chief Scientist and Head of the Physico Mechanical Metrology Division of NPL. In addition, he was also holding the post of Professor at the Faculty of Physical Sciences, Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), HRDG, Ghaziabad, teaching ‘Advanced Measurement Techniques & Metrology’ courses, taking practical classes and supervising graduate, master, and Ph.D. students since 2011. He is the Editor-in-Chief of MAPAN: The Journal of Metrology Society of India. He has more than 350 research publications to his credit, published in national and international journals of repute and conferences, besides contributing to several books as Editor and Author, published by Springer and MSI, as well as drafting several project, scientific, and technical reports, documents, and policy papers.
Meher Wan is a scientist at CSIR-NIScPR New Delhi, His research interest includes chemical vapour deposition method for growing 1D and 2D organic and transition metal dichalcogenide structures. He has wide experience of
working with advanced micro/nano-fabrication tools including focussed ion beam and electron beam lithography methods. He also has expertise in 3D printing of polymers and metals in a wide dimensional scale from nanoscale to mesoscale via different 3D printing methods including two-photon polymerization based nano-lithography and laser assisted melting process. He explores the application of fabricated devices in both electronic and photonic domains.
Dr. Ravinder Agarwal is currently a Professor in the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Department at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala. He did Ph.D. from H.P. University, Shimla, and carried out research work at CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi. He has more than thirty years of teaching and research experience. Till now, he has guided 22 Ph.D. and more than 33 dissertations to ME/M.Tech/MDS students, more than 140 research publications are SCI journals, and 250 publications in national and international conferences. In addition to these publications, he has six book chapters in Springer and Taylor & Francis. Dr. Agarwal has completed seven research projects of the government of India funding agencies (DST, AICTE, ICMR, DRDO, DeitY, etc.) worth Rs. 2.5 crore. He is a recipient of the Best Teachers Day Award (2010) from Lions Club Patiala and Dr. M. Pancholy Award (2017) from the Ultrasonic Society of India on Advances in Ultrasonic & Materials Research. Also, he is a recipient of a professional incentive scheme (PIS) many times in the institute. He is a Fellow Member of IETE, Institution of Engineers (I), Metrology Society of India, Ultrasonic Society of India, and a Life Member of the Instrument Society of India. His current areas of research include biomedical instrumentation, sensors, soft computing, characterization of biological materials, and environmental monitoring instrumentation.
M. EL-Shimy was born in Cairo, Egypt in 1974. He is currently a professor of electrical power systems with the Department of Electrical Power and Machines – Faculty of Engineering - Ain Shams University. He is also an electromechanical specialist, a freelance trainer, a technical advisor, and a member of many associations and professional networks. He is a technical reviewer and editor with some major journals and conferences. His fields of interest include electric power system: analysis, stability, economics, optimization, distribution, renewable energy integration, and reliability.
Hidayat Zainuddin received the Bachelor of Engineering degree in electrical engineering from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor Bahru, Malaysia, in 2003, the M.Sc. degree in electrical power engineering with business from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, U.K., in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Southampton, Southampton, U.K., in 2013. He is currently an Associate Professor and the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Technology and Engineering, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), Durian Tunggal, Malaysia. His research interests include condition monitoring of high-voltage equipment, testing and failure/degradation analysis of insulation/dielectric materials, and finite element analysis modeling. His recent research focuses the effect of retrofilling transformers with ester oils.
