Prof. Jeng-Shyang Pan received a B.S. degree in electronic engineering from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in 1986, an M.S. degree in communication engineering from the National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, in 1988, and a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Edinburgh, UK, in 1996. He is currently a Professor at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, China. He is an IET Fellow in the UK and has been the Vice Chair of the IEEE Tainan Section and Tainan Chapter Chair of the IEEE Signal Processing Society. He has published more than 500 journal papers, 200 conference papers, 35 book chapters, and 22 books. His current research interests include information hiding, artificial intelligence and wireless sensor networks.
Prof. Junzo Watada is currently a specially appointed professor, Shimonoseki City University, Yamaguchi, Japan and a professor emeritus, Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Watada received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Osaka City University, Osaka (now Osaka Metropolitan University), Japan, and obtained his Ph.D. from Osaka Prefecture University (now Osaka Metropolitan University), Sakai, Japan. Until March 2016, he served as a Professor of management engineering, knowledge engineering, and soft computing at the Graduate School of Information, Production, and Systems, Faculty of Engineering and Sciences, Waseda University, Kitakyushu, Japan. Currently, he holds the position of specially appointed professor at the School of Data Sciences, Shimonoseki City University, Yamaguchi, Japan. Dr. Watada has been granted the title of Professor Emeritus at Waseda University since his retirement in 2016. His research interests encompass big data analytics, soft computing, tracking systems, knowledge engineering, and management engineering. Professor Watada is a Life Senior Member of the IEEE. He is also a Life Fellow of both the Japan Society for Fuzzy Theory and Intelligent Informatics and the Bio-Medical Fuzzy System Association. In recognition of his contributions, he received the Henri Coanda Medal Award from Inventico, Romania, in 2002 and the GH Asachi Medal from Universitatea Tehnica GH Asachi, IASI, Romania, in 2006.
GEORGE A. TSIHRINTZIS received the Diploma of Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (with honors) and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He is currently a Professor in The University of Piraeus, Greece and, during 2016-2020, he served as Head of its Department of Informatics. From 2008 to 2022, he served as the Director of the Graduate Program of Study in “Advanced Computing and Informatics Systems” of the Department. During the period 2016-2020, he was a member of the first Administration Council of the University of Piraeus. Currently, he is serving again as a Member of the Administration Council of the University of Piraeus for a four-year term (2022-2026). His current research interests include Artificial and Computational Intelligence, Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, Decision Theory, and Statistical Signal Processing and their applications in Internet-of-Things Technologies, Multimedia Interactive Services, User Modeling, Knowledge-based Software Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, and Information Retrieval. He has authored or co-authored over 350 research publications in these areas, which have appeared in international journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. He has served as the principal investigator or co-investigator in several R&D projects. Since 2018, he has been the editor-in-chief of the Intelligent Decision Technologies Journal (IOS Press). During 2012-2022, he was the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Computational Intelligence Studies (Inderscience). He has been the editor-in-chief of the Engineering Section of SpringerPlus. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of the Learning and Analytics in Intelligent Systems book series (Springer 2019-) and the Artificial Intelligence-Enhanced Software and Systems Engineering book series (Springer 2022-). He has organized and chaired 42 international conferences. He has received best paper awards from several international conferences, and he has been a keynote speaker of several international conferences. He has supervised 15 doctoral students who have received their doctoral degrees and is currently supervising an additional 5 students. He is ranked among the top 2% of the most influential scientists worldwide of Scientists List at Stanford University ranking in ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, both career-wise and single year, for 2023 and for 2024.
Prof. Tien-Wen Sung received his Ph.D. degree in Computer and Communication Engineering from Department of Electrical Engineering at Cheng Kung University, Taiwan in 2014. Before that, he joined Hsing Kuo University, Taiwan as a lecturer and was promoted to assistant professor and associate professor in 2010 and 2014, respectively. Before joining Hsing Kuo University, he had worked for Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Inc., Taiwan as an IT engineer and then Taida Medical Info Technology Co., Ltd., Taiwan as a project manager of system development. In 2015, he left Hsing Kuo University and joined Fujian University of Technology, China as an associated professor. He is now a Full Professor in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Fujian University of Technology, China. He is awarded the Taiwanese Outstanding Talents in Fujian Province of China. He is also a member of IEEE, ACM, IAENG, EAI, CCF, and AFCEC. He is now the executive editor of Journal of Information Hiding and Multimedia Processing and the associate editor of Journal of Network Intelligence. As a guest editor, he has edited several special issues of SCI journals. He has published more than 80 research papers indexed by SCI, SSCI, or EI, including an ESI highly cited paper. He is the leader of several research projects funded by the governments and university. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Wireless Sensor Networks, and U-Learning.
Prof. Pei Hu, PhD, is a faculty member at the School of Computer and Software, Nanyang Institute of Technology, Nanyang, China. Dr. Hu is the Director of Henan Cloud Computing Virtualization Technology Engineering Research Center, and he is also a member of the CAA Granular Computing and Its Applications Professional Committee. He primarily teaches courses such as "Fundamentals of Object-Oriented Programming" and "Fundamentals of Big Data" and has successfully guided students to win national competitions. His research interests encompass evolutionary computing, neural networks, data mining, feature selection, and computer-aided education. Dr. Hu has published over 30 SCI papers, including three highly cited ESI papers, and has an H-index of 10 on Google Scholar with more than 900 citations. He has also served as the publishing chair for the IIH-MSP 2022 and ICGEC 2023.
