A series of three photocopiable maths activity books for secondary schools and home study. Each book covers all the key objectives of the 'Calculations' strand of the National Numeracy Strategy. There is a book for each year of Key Stage 3, from Year 7 to Year 9.

The series helps teachers to cover the key objectives of the new National Numeracy Strategy at Key Stage 3. Each book contains over 50 pages of photocopiable activities for one year group. Includes lively ideas for whole-class oral and mental maths 'starter' activities (as recommended by the framework). Includes teaching notes to help non-specialist teachers and classroom assistants. Minimal teacher preparation required. Each activity is divided into 3 progressive steps for easy differentiation. Includes extension activities which reinforce and develop the pupils' learning. A flexible resource to complement teacher's existing core schemes, or for homework and extra practice Compatible with the 5-14 Guidelines for Scotland and the Curriculum for Northern Ireland.
