About the Author: Marcus Johnson was born in South Africa. He has a degree in biology from the University of Cape Town and worked for many years in academic publishing. He is now a freelance author and editor, collaborating with magazines and book publishers to create scientifically up-to-date texts for both children and adult readers. About the illustrator: John Devolle was born in Birmingham and studied Fine Art at the University of Westminster. After running an art gallery and working as a graphic designer and art director, he now is a freelance Illustrator, specialising in editorial and infographic work.
