Samantha Montgomerie is an author who loves writing for young people. She has written a number of educational readers, middle grade fiction and poetry. She has numerous poems published for adults, found in various anthologies and literary journals. She has worked for over 25 years as an English teacher, and loves seeing young people engrossed in great stories. She lives in New Zealand, where she likes to wander, letting the salt-laced air inspire great plotlines and poetry.Big Cat for Little Wandle Fluency has been developed in collaboration with Wandle Learning Trust and Little Sutton Primary School. It consists of a range of chapter books with increasing word counts across 15 fluency levels aimed at children in Years 2-4. Each book builds reading confidence, stamina and speed and nurtures a love for reading.
Fluency 14 books have a word count of 6960 words with an expected reading rate of 145 words per minute.
