Russell Punter was born in Bedfordshire, England. From an early age he enjoyed writing and illustrating his own stories. He trained as a graphic designer at art college in West Sussex before entering the world of publishing. He has written over one hundred books for children of all ages, ranging from original stories to adaptations of classic novels.The book has clear colour illustrations, helping children understand the words when they are first learning to read. The words used are simple, and along with fun speech bubbles the book will inspire beginner readers. This is one of the books in the Usborne First Reading series. Other titles to look out for in local libraries include "The Inch Prince" and "Danny the Dragon", both by Russell Punter.
