Katie Cottle is a Welsh illustrator who now lives in Bristol. She's illustrated a number of children's books, and she's written a few, too. Katie uses lots of bright colours (orange being a particular favourite), lots of texture and has lots of fun with characters. When she's not drawing, she's probably hanging out with her cat (Beanie) or feeding the ducks that live nearby.A heartwarming picture book about friendship and being yourself. The friendship between Dot and her pet tortoise, Monty, is tested after Dot, desperate to make friends on the first day of school, tells the class that she has a tortosaurus.
