Antonia Michaelis was born in Kiel in 1979 and spent the first years of her life in a village by the Baltic Sea with her pleasantly eccentric parents and a variety of cats. A year in Southern India after school gave her itchy feet which have since taken her to Peru, Ghana, Syria - and the British Isles.
