A good romp of a mystery
The School Librarian on 'Sherlock Bones and the Case of the Crown Jewels'
A very interesting concept, slightly reminiscent of the 'Choose your own Adventure' books. This will appeal to key stage 2 readers, especially those who may have reading difficulties and encourages collaboration among readers, with one reading the story and the other solving the puzzles.
The School Librarian on ‘Sherlock Bones and the Curse of the Pharaoh’s Mask’
Great mystery story as Sherlock Bones and his partner Catson try to solve the worrying haunting of a castle. This is so reminiscent in style of actual Sherlock Holmes but with the added fun of the characters being mostly dogs. Sherlock Bones and Catson make a great pairing and what was great about this was every chapter has its own puzzles and mysteries for the reader to solve.

This was such a fun read… I love interactive books. A fun cosy read - ideal for the little detectives during spooky season!

I am a huge fan of the series and have every book of the series in my collection already. I also bought multiple copies of the series to be given to my students as gifts. It is a very well written story with cute illustrations and engaging puzzles.

Sherlock Bones and Dr. Carson are hired to investigate a ghost at a kennel (aka castle) in Transylvania. This one was so fun! It was the first of these I’ve read, but I definitely want to go back and read the other ones! I loved the characters and the story was fun and captivating.
