Katey Howes was a beloved children’s author who published six picture books and won numerous awards for her work. Her books include themes of joy, inclusion, and empowerment. Katey was an active member of the children’s literary community and contributed to parenting, literacy, and STEM websites throughout her career. She raised three children with her husband until her sudden passing in May 2024.
MARIE HERMANSSON is an illustrator who strives to create illustrations that cultivate imagination and spark natural curiosity. When she's not working, she enjoys gardening, hiking, and going to museums. She lives with her family in North Carolina.
