Maria Montessori believed it was important to build a child's vocabulary so she created Nomenclature Cards that are used to familiarize the child with the world of nature by associating each element with its name. In addition to learning the correct names, the child also develops a system of categories and mentally creates a network of information through association and classification. This makes the cards a fundamental tool in the Montessori Method of education and the 100 Nomenclature Cards dedicated to the animals in the woods are a fun way for children to explore and learn about nature.
