Marta Altés studied graphic design and worked in Barcelona, before completing the MA in Children’s Book Illustration in Cambridge. She is now a full-time illustrator. She has illustrated over 20 picture books and has won the Read it Again! Award, the Nottingham Children’s Book Prize and been awarded the Ezra Jack Keats New Illustrator Honor. She has also been shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize, the People’s Book Prize and was nominated for the CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal for I am an Artist.
