PreS-Each book features seven simple puzzles for toddlers to solve. Guess What? poses questions comparing the appearances of animals and objects, while Guess Where? focuses on where animals perform tasks. A single question is set against a white background, e.g., "Guess what looks like bare tree branches?" The opposite page features an appropriate acrylic cartoon image, such as a tree branch with adjacent leaves fluttering down. A full-page flap unfolds to reveal the antlers of a deer. Guess Where? asks where the dog goes to the bathroom; opening the flap shows "Against a tree!" Though these books are sometimes tricky or a little too advanced for the intended audience, toddlers will enjoy the game. - Laura Hunter, Mount Laurel Library, NJα(c) Copyright 2011.
