Bursting with humour and adventure, and told in a lyrical voice, these colourful and entertaining stories are likely to be new even to children who are familiar with the classics of Irish mythology. They have been playfully adapted from the oral tradition and will open up a whole new seam of story for children and their parents. Especially good for reading aloud, so that small listeners can really delight in the effervescence of this storyteller’s turns and rhythmic trills of phrase.

Om bidragsyterne

Malachy Doyle was born in Carrickfergus and grew up in Whitehead, County Antrim, by the sea. The seventh of
eleven, he had the freedom to roam - and has been a wanderer ever since.  At the age of 40, he discovered he was a writer.

Since then he has had over 120 books published, in around 30 languages – from pop-up books and picture books to story books and teen fiction.

These days he lives on a little island off the coast of Donegal, where he runs, reads, writes and sings. Off the island, he climbs mountains and cuddles his grandchildren.
