Mike Lucas moved to Australia from the UK in 2010. He is the author of several poetry anthologies and picture books, and his first YA novel, What We All Saw, was a Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) shortlisted title. Mike owns and helps to run a bookshop, Shakespeare's, in Blackwood, South Australia. In 2017 and 2022 he was one of the main organisers of the Adelaide Festival of Children's Books. He also works full time as an engineer and is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.  Mike has very little time to sleep, but often thinks up a poem or two while he does.

Sofya Karmazina is a Sydney-based book designer and illustrator, who is passionate about great stories and children's books. She draws both digitally and using traditional media. All of Sofya's work is driven by curiosity and a perseverance to achieve the best results.
