Allen Niptanatiak is a hunter and trapper from Kugluktuk, Nunavut. Kagan McLeod has been illustrating for magazines, newspapers, and design firms since 1999, after graduating from Sheridan College's illustration program. He began work as a staff artist for Canada's National Post newspaper, and has had illustration work published recently in Entertainment Weekly, Reader’s Digest, The Wall Street Journal, and other publications. He lives in Toronto with his wife, two daughters, and a hound dog.

Patricia Ann Lewis-MacDougall was born and raised in the Niagara Peninsula. Her childhood days were spent in the woodsy setting of Ontario’s Bruce Trail. After graduating high school, Patricia Ann enrolled at Sheridan College to study Animation in the 1980s and later illustration. She worked for several years as storyboard artist for Nelvana. She has illustrated several books for children.
