A call to action for all young activists, giving them the information, inspiration, and practical advice they need to get their voices heard.
Getting any reader to grasp the urgency of our planet’s environmental threats, without reducing them to hopelessness and eco-anxiety is a mighty task. Hats off to the author – he strikes a fine balance. Morbid challenges like population growth, habitat loss and hunting are told in truth but are equally balanced with colourful, playful illustrations.

Ben Hoare is an award-winning journalist who has written and edited many natural-history books and magazines for DK, the BBC, London's Natural History Museum and many others. Think of a well-known wildlife or nature writer who writes in English, and Ben has probably edited their words at some point. Since 2008 he has been Features Editor of BBC Wildlife Magazine. In 2015 Ben was awarded the Dilys Breese Medal for science communication by the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) - he is one of only 16 people to hold the award. He is the author of Wild City and Activists Assemble - Save Your Planet

Jade Orlando has loved art for as long as she can remember. After an impassioned childhood spent drawing cats and mythical creatures, she studied Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Jade’s work is colourful with a hint of weird, and has been featured in books, apparel, advertising and children’s products. Clients include Scholastic, Carter’s, Amazon, and Oopsy Daisy. Jade lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her bionic husband, greyhound, and four cats. When she’s not illustrating, you can usually find her curled up with her pets and a really good book.
