Nathaniel Wingate Peaslee is a professor of political economy at Miskatonic University. Following a fainting spell in 1908 he returns to his senses in 1913 with no recollection of the last five years of his life. I.N.J. Culbard is an award-winning artist (British Fantasy awards – Best comic/ Graphic novel 2011) and has collaborated on a critically acclaimed Sherlock Holmes series with Ian Edginton (Dark Horse, Marvel, 2000 AD), as well as adapting At The Mountains of Madness and The Case of Charles Dexter Ward for SelfMadeHero. He is also the illustrator on the zombie mini-series for Vertigo called The Deadwardians with Dan Abnett (February 2012). He is currently working on an original graphic novel, Deadbeats, with Chris Lackey and Chad Fifer, for SelfMadeHero. H.P. Lovecraft (1890–1937) was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. Initially a poet and prodigious letter writer, Lovecraft started writing fiction in his twenties. Although not widely read during his lifetime, Lovecraft is now recognised as one of the 20th century’s most influential writers of the eerie and macabre.
