Entire towns were populated only by men, while manyunmarried young women languished on the east coast. To remedy that situation,marriages were arranged over mail. There, he worked for MAD magazine and met Rene Goscinny, with whom hecollaborated from 1955 until Goscinny's death in 1977. Guy Vidal was a French journalist and script writer. A great friendand partner of Rene Goscinny, he wasamong other things editor-in-chief of the famous magazine Pilote, then editorial director at Dargaud publishing.
