Voted as one of the best comics by Entertainment Weekly, Thrillist, and Screen Rant, bestselling BARBARIC is back and ready to spill some secrets – along with a lot of blood – in Barbaric Volume 4: Born in Blood!
A new era of Barbaric begins!
We did it! You know, the thing everyone says they’re doing, even when they’re lying through their teeth: a genuinely good jumping on point. How, you ask? Well, it all starts with a compelling new bad guy.
Meet the new big bad: Orrick, the tortured barbarian now turned master torturer, will take us deep into Owen’s past, revealing secrets that should have stayed buried…like Axe in a chest cavity slurping up that sweet, delicious blood. Will the cursed-to-do-good barbarian finally do some actual good? Probably not! But some much worse guys will almost certainly lose their heads. Yummy!
For fans of BRZRKR!, The Witcher, Conan the Barbarian, Red Sonja, Heathen, Rat Queens, Kings of the Wyld, and Dungeons and Dragons!
BARBARIC Volume 4: Born in Blood collects the entire fourth, completely beserk, 3-issue miniseries!
It’s just … BARBARIC!

Michael Moreci is a screenwriter and bestselling comics author. His award-winning debut feature film, Revealer, premiered on Shudder in the summer of 2022. He was recently hired by Paper Street Pictures to write the suspense thriller Come Find Me, and he recently completed directing his first feature film, from a screenplay he co-wrote. In the comics space, Michael is the creator of the acclaimed gothic horror series The Plot, the werewolf drama Curse, and the sword-and-sorcery series Barbaric, which Entertainment Weekly, Thrillist, and many others called one of the best comics of the year. He’s also written for numerous legendary characters and properties, including Star Wars, Batman, and Stranger Things.Acclaimed artist Nathan Gooden is known for co-creating the bestselling comic, Barbaric, as well as his work on Brandon Sanderson’s Dark One, and Dark Knights of Steel. He lives in Baltimore, Maryland and plays a lot of basketball.
Jim Campbell is a twice-Eisner-nominated comic-book letterer, one-time writer (perhaps again in the future!) and occasional artist (although his enthusiasm rather outstrips his actual ability). He knows more about print production than mortal man was meant to know and has also scanned more images than you've had hot dinners. Unless you're ninety years old.
