- Yours on The Clippie Girls,

In the midst of World War II, two young women from vastly different backgrounds are brought together at Bletchley Park, where they must keep the nation's secrets while hiding their own.

In 1929, ten-year-old Mattie Price, born and raised in the back streets of Sheffield, faces a tough life. But her neighbours and teachers recognise her remarkable cleverness and are determined to give her the opportunity she deserves.

Victoria Hamilton, living in the opulence of London's Kensington, has all the material possessions a young girl could want. But with her mother immersed in the social whirl of upper-class society, Victoria is left in the care of her governess and the servants. At eleven, she is sent to boarding school where, for the first time, she is able to make friends her own age.

Mattie and Victoria's paths are set to converge at Bletchley Park in May 1940. Together, they will face the rest of the war keeping the nation's secrets and helping to win the fight. But keeping secrets is second nature to both of them . . .

Born in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Margaret Dickinson moved to the coast at the age of seven and so began her love for the sea and the Lincolnshire landscape. Her ambition to be a writer began early and she had her first novel published at the age of twenty-five. This was followed by many further titles including Plough the Furrow, Sow the Seed and Reap the Harvest, which make up her Fleethaven trilogy. She is also the author of The Buffer Girls and its sequel Daughters of Courage. Margaret is a Sunday Times top ten bestseller.
