Sir Giles Palmer, head of a respected City finance house appears to have a suspiciously close connection to the pornographic movie industry in which the innocent stars are killed. Heather Morgan who works in Palmer's London office is puzzled by Palmer's frequent trips to Hollywood. At a Christmas party in the London office of Palmer Associates, Heather's fiance is found murdered and she becomes the prime suspect. When the senior detective investigating the case is suspended from duty Heather's situation looks bleak.

Born in Washington D.C. in 1951, Ian Richardson was educated at Highgate School and the University of Southampton. He spent most of his career in the UK civil service, including HM Treasury and the Cabinet Office, dealing with financial matters. Since retiring, he has had more time to enjoy his favourite activities of choral singing and folk dancing and has also turned his hand to writing. Murder Behind The Screen is his second novel. He has three grown-up children and lives happily with his wife in South Wales.
