Born of Irish parents in England, Niall O'Sullivan grew up in Slough, studied Art in Bath and has been living in London since the turn of the millennium. A former council gardener, he has performed poetry since 1997, playing venues all over the UK alongside the likes of Hugo Williams, John Hegley, Roddy Lumsden, John Stammers, Zena Edwards, Phill Jupitus and Pete Doherty. He has also been featured in the UK at the Cheltenham, Bristol, Bath, Folkestone and Penzance literature festivals and internationally in Berlin and, in 2005, at the world famous Roskilde festival in Denmark.Niall's first collection, you're not singing anymore (waterways, 2004), explores religion, youth, and the many faces of London. It was received with widespread acclaim, becoming a 20th Century bestseller on Amazon.co.uk. In Ventriloquism for Monkeys, his second, he turns his attention to science, memory, evolution and ideology.
