“Robin’s passion for words and ideas and his curiosity for life take perfect shape here in these songs of quiet defiance. Choice words chosen wisely. Highly recommended for all humans who retain their humanity.” Henry Normal

“I love these poems’ invitation to read them aloud, the rhythm and sound-play that’s unwrapped by taking the words from the page and releasing them into the air. This is poetry to play and replay as each poem’s colours change and layers of meaning glow.” Dr Kathryn Mannix

“Robin’s poems are insights into Robin. They are raw, funny, sometimes painfully immediate and heartfelt, but always thoughtful and very much him. Sometimes he’ll muse on the cosily familiar, other times he’ll be righteous and raw. He writes with an honesty that’s either admirable or foolish. But probably, beautifully both. Each of these poems is a treat. A brief moment of connection, slipped between the pages of a hectic world.” Reece Shearsmith

“Robin’s poems are full of love and wonder. Deeply humane and tender, they embody the bravery that comes with vulnerability and a reverence for being here and loving every moment of it.” Josie Long

“Ice Cream for a Broken Tooth is a bold, intimate collection, in part memoir and in part rallying cry, here is an exploration of our world past and present. Robin Ince has a beautiful and observant eye for tiny details, for pockets of recollection, for fleeting moments, for tears and dark comedy, these poems contain bright snapshots of where we are, our nature and humanity, our sensitivities, our rage and our happiness.” Salena Godden
