The first part is a case story where the school’s activities are illuminated by the two of us serving as Deans. The second part can be looked upon as our effort to understand those years by means of some analytical tools. In the final part, we have included some basic statistics about courses, participants, faculty, and a summary of a few financial aspects. This book is intended for all those entertaining a special interest for higher education, in general, and the Russian relations, in particular. It is more generally about establishing business activities as greenfield projects or partnerships in new environments. It is our sincere belief and aspiration that we all could learn something from it.
