"Covering Conflict" provides an original perspective on both the major wars of the post-1945 era (such as the Falklands conflict of 1982, the Gulf War of 1991, the Nato attacks on Kosovo of 1999; the Afghanistan/Taleban conflict of 2001 and the Iraq invasion of 2003) and the lesser known, secret wars (such as in Chad, 1980 to the present). It will also draw on a wide range of sources: blogs, alternative websites and journals, autobiographies. The study of war is becoming increasingly popular amongst students in Britain, America and throughout the world. "Covering Conflict" will then be well suited for use in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in a range of disciplines: journalism, media studies, war/peace/conflict studies, communication studies, and cultural studies.
