Shuming Yang is a full professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), China. His main research interests include nanofabrication and measurement, optical measurement and instrumentation, ultra-precision manufacturing and measurement, etc. He has held more than 20 research projects including National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, National Key R&D Program of China, National Science and Technology Major Projects, etc. He has published more than 200 papers, 2 books and 5 proceedings, owned over 100 patents of Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), UK, European and China, and achieved 10 technical awards. He was elected as a fellow of the International Society for Nanomanufacturing (ISNM), a council committee member of Asian Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (ASPEN), etc. He is also an editor or a guest editor of Journal ofManufacturing Systems, International Journal of Precision Engineering and Manufacturing-Green Technology, Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering, Nanomanufacturing and Metrology, International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing, Measurement Science and Technology, Precision Engineering, International Journal of AdvancedManufacturing Technology, Photonics, etc. He delivered keynote and invited talks in academic conferences for more than 100 times.

Guofeng Zhang is an Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), China. His research interests are focused on micro/nano measurement and optical inspection, on-machine/in-process measurement. He has held more than 10 research projects including National Natural Science Foundation, National Key R&D Program of China, etc. He is author or co-author of more than 30 peer-reviewed papers, owned over 20 patents, and received the First Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Award of China Society for Measurement. He serves as a member of the Young Expert Committee of Advanced Optical Manufacturing of Chinese Society for Optical Engineering and a member of the Integrated Circuit Measurement and Instruments Branch of the China Instrument and Control Society.
