Read the procedure ahead of time. If you have a picture in mind of what you will be doing, it will speed things up and help you avoid pitfalls along the way.

Write notes to yourself; each lab has a "Notes" page for this purpose.

For all labs, the answers to pre-lab and post-lab calculated problems are given; use them as immediate feedback to check your work. (Hint: instructors grade the work not the answer.)

The "Calculation Examples" will guide you through the problems presented in the pre-lab, your data calculations, and the post-lab. Use them!
