"Through combining the 'mobilities turn' in the social sciences with the new interest in the material dimensions of social worlds, Material Mobilities offers eye-opening perspectives on the everyday world, its infrastructural landscapes, and the power-dimensions of mobilities. Reading this book will leave you sensing, feeling, and moving through your own social world with renewed curiosity."

- Prof Mimi Sheller, Director of the Center for Mobilities Research & Policy, Drexel University, USA

"That social theory would turn back to reflect on its development in the contradictions of mobilities was predictable; but nothing could have prepared us for Jensen, Lassen, Lange and their colleaguesâ extraordinary engagement with the discourse of materialities. This collection is absolutely indispensable."

- Prof Anthony Elliott, Executive Director of the Hawke EU Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, University of South Australia
