From the reviews: "This book contains papers from the Conference on Radio Frequency Power in Plasma, held in Clearwater, Fla., U.S.A., in 2007. ... Readers interested in RF theory and modeling will find a range of topics from linear and nonlinear antenna coupling to wave plasma interaction, as well as algorithmic development via ray-based methods and nonlinear particle simulations. ... This volume is highly recommended for researchers and graduate students in plasma physics." (Axel Mainzer Koenig, Optics and Photonics News, September, 2008)
This conference was mainly devoted to the application of RF power at frequencies ranging from the tens of MHZ to hundreds of GHz, to fusion plasmas. Design of RF heating and current drive systems for ITER, along with equipment development, was an important topic. The application of RF to stabilize plasma instabilities was increasingly emphasized and progress in the theory of waves and wave-particle interactions in plasmas, and code development on these issues was presented.
