Professor Sally Brown is Emerita Professor of Higher Education Diversity in Teaching and Learning at Leeds Metropolitan University, UK. Prior to that she held the role of Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) at the same institution. She is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Plymouth, UK and Adjunct Professor at the University of the Sunshine Coast and James Cook University, Australia. She is has worked in education for more than forty years and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and a National Teaching Fellow. She is widely published, particularly in the areas of teaching, learning and assessment and founded the SEDA series of books for Kogan Page (later Routledge). Sally is an independent consultant and workshop facilitator who offers keynote addresses at conferences and events in the UK and internationally.
