Thom Brooks is Professor of Law and Government at Durham University, UK, and the founding editor of the Journal of Moral Philosophy. His current research interests include criminal law and justice, citizenship and immigration, global justice and human rights, sentencing and public policy more generally.Alcohol and its consumption is a major topic for public policy-making. Growing awareness of alcohol-related health problems among the general public has led to high levels of interest in alcohol consumption and its impact on society.
