Michael A. Crouch, PharmD, FASHP, BCPS is Executive Associate Dean and Professor and at the Gatton College of Pharmacy, East Tennessee State University. He received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina, USA (1992) and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (1995). He also completed two years of postgraduate training, including a first-year residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center (1991-1992) and a second-year residency, with an emphasis in cardiology, at the Medical University of South Carolina (1995-1996). Prior to accepting a leadership position at Gatton College of Pharmacy, he spent 12 years on faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy and 2 years at Department Chair at South University.Dr. Crouch is an accomplished educator, clinician, and researcher. He has dedicated much of his career to educating pharmacy trainees and has received numerous teaching awards. Dr. Crouch is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist, who also holds added qualifications in cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and an active member of ASHP and AACP. He has over 100 scholarly publications, including two books: Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy: a Point-of-Care Guide and Securing and Excelling in a Pharmacy Residency.
