Jiahua Pan graduated from Huazhong Agricultural University in 1982, with the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, and he obtained his Ph.D. in economics from Cambridge University, in 1992. He was the main authors of the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th assessment reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on climate change (IPCC). He is now Director-General and Research Fellow of Research Center for Sustainable Development, The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). His main research fields include sustainable development economics, land and resource economics, world economy, energy and climate policy, etc.
Shiji Gao graduated from the National University of Defense Technology in 1986 with a Bachelor's Degree in mathematics and obtained a Ph.D. Degree in system management in 1992 from City University, UK. From 1992 to 1995, he was Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Sussex University, UK.
He is now Director-General of the Research Institute for Resources and Environment Policies (April 2013–present).He served as a member of the Expert Advisory Committee for State Informatization (2002–2014). He has been a member of the Expert Committee for Telecommunication Economy of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (2003–present). He served as Project Consultant, respectively, for the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and OECD.
He was awarded government special allowance in 2007 and is Adjunct Professor of the School of Social Development and Public Policy of Beijing Normal University (2007–present). In addition, he had been a member of World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council, Water Security Sub-Section (2009–2010), and a member of American Economic Association and IEEE.His research field includes economic systematic reform and policy study on economic and social development, building and governance of regulatory systems, public policy study on information and communication technological development, national innovative system and system construction for a sustainable development strategy.
He has led or participated in quite a number of research projects on public policies for China's economic growth and social development, including the DRC-World Bank joint project China 2030:Building a Modern,Harmonious and Creative High-income Society (2010–2012).
Qingrui Li graduated from Anyang Agricultural University in 1978 with a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture. He was Former Director of the Department of Laws and Regulations of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Director of the personnel department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection. He is now Executive Vice President of China Ecological Civilization Research and Promotion Association, CECRPA.
Jinnan Wang graduated from Tsinghua University in 1986, with the Bachelor of Environmental Engineering. He was elected as Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2017. He is now Presidentand Chief Engineer of the Environmental Planning Institute of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Consultant of the Asia-Europe Environmental Technology Center, Executive Director of the Global China Environmental Experts Association, Director of the Environmental Economics Committee of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences, Member of the Systems Engineering Branch of the China Energy Society, China Environmental Culture Executive Director of the Promotion Association, Executive Director of the China Environmental Protection Federation, Editor-in-Chief of China Environmental Policy, editorial board of Environmental Science Research, and an expert member of China Energy Network Research Center.
His research field includes environmental planning, environmental economy and environmental policy.
Dekai Wu graduated from Xi'an Highway College in 1984 with a Bachelor's Degree in mechanical design. He was Former Deputy Director-General of Department of Environmental Protection of Gansu Province. He is now Chairman of China Environment Publishing Group Co., Ltd.
Chengliang Huang obtained a Ph.D. Degree in Philosophy from Shan Dong University. He is now Director of the theory department of the ecological civilization research think tank, The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). His main research fields include basic theory of ecological civilization, ecological economics, environmental ethics, environmental and resource law, philosophy and social development, and enterprise bionics.
