Ex-Futures is a project led by professors Johanna Gustafsson Fürst and Asier Mendizabal at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm in 2022–2023. The term was borrowed from the Spanish writer Miguel Unamuno who, a hundred years ago, used it to describe the discarded decisions at every juncture in our lives or in history. The concept was applied to a series of conversations, experiments, readings, and excursions as part of a Fine Arts course.
