Eddy Frankel is a London-based art critic. He's Time Out's Art & Culture Editor, and has written about art for publications including The Guardian, ArtReview, The Art Newspaper and Vanity Fair. He's also the founder and editor of OOF, a magazine about the intersection of art and football, and has curated a series of exhibitions on the topic.
‘FRANCES’ the book places Blane’s new paintings of heads with her new abstract images from the Covid pandemic London 2020. There are also drawings and works on paper both minimal and painterly and a section devoted to the qualities of paint and charcoal.
The artist believes there is no difference between the abstract and figuration. Eddy Frankel, Susie Orbach and Corinna Lotz supply the text.
