Hamid Reza Ghelichkhani, Ph.D. (2012, Delhi University), is a calligrapher and an independent scholar. He has published several books including Zar-Afshan: A Dictionary of Terms Relating to Calligraphy, Ornamentation, and the Making of Manuscripts as Found in Classical Persian Poetry (Tehran, 2013). Shervin Farridnejad, Ph.D. (2014, Georg-August University of Göttingen), is a calligrapher, illuminator and professor of ancient and classical Iranian Studies at the University of Hamburg. He has published monographs, and articles most notably on the Judeo-Persian and Zoroastrian iconography, literature and manuscript cultures, among others Die Sprache der Bilder: Eine Studie zur ikonographischen Exegese der anthropomorphen Götterbilder im Zoroastrismus (Harrassowitz, 2018).
