Ioan Roberts was born in Rhoshirwaun on the Llŷn Peninsula, and after spending time in Montomeryshire, Wrexham and Pontypridd, he's currently based in Pwllheli. Starting out as a civil engineer, he soon moved into journalism. He's been an editor for HTV, a news broadcaster for Radio Cymru and has produced programmes for S4C, as well as writing and editing several books.
