Jeffrey Champlin teaches literature at the Barenboim-Said Academy in Berlin and is an associate fellow at Bard College's Hannah Arendt Center. Avital Ronell is University Professor of the Humanities and Professor of German, English, and Comparative Literature at New York University. Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht is the Albert GuĂŠrard Professor Emeritus in Literature in the Departments of Comparative Literature and French and Italian at Stanford University. As a public intellectual and highly prolific writer, he contributes to fields as diverse as the histories of national literatures in Romance languages, Western philosophical traditions, and forms of aesthetic experience in twenty first-century everyday culture. He has published more than two thousand texts, translated into more than twenty languages. Elisabeth Weber is a professor of German and Comparative Literature at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has also edited several works by Jacques Derrida. Her edited volume Living Together: Jacques Derridaâs Communities of Violence and Peace is forthcoming from Fordham University Press.
