- Jonny, CLPE Staff Picks of 2019

The book features some great contributions from well-established modern poets alongside poems by newer writers and those by the likes of Lewis Carroll and other old favourites. Particularly welcome is the fact that the poems feature food (and poets) from places other than Britain. This makes the book that bit more tasty.

Om bidragsyterne

A.F. Harrold is an English poet who writes and performs for adults and children. He spends his time showing off on stage, writing poems and books, and stroking his beard (it helps churn the ideas). He is the author of The Song from Somewhere Else (illustrated by Levi Pinfold), the Fizzlebert Stump series, and the CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medal long listed The Imaginary (illustrated by Emily Gravett). He lives in Reading with a stand-up comedian and two cats. Katy Riddell is a young and imaginative illustrator with a BA Hons in Illustration and Animation from Manchester Metropolitan University. She grew up in Brighton and was obsessed with drawing from a young age. Plenty of encouragement from her parents, both artists and illustrators, led her to spend hours writing and illustrating her own stories, which her father (former Children's Laureate and award-winning illustrator Chris Riddell) collected throughout the years. Katy loves working with children, and currently runs an art club at her local school. She lives and works in Manchester.
