About The Author
Isn’t it fun to know that you can make of this workbook experience whatever you want it to be?
Not much in our lives is so independent of what others might want us to do and think. But here you are free, completely free to say and write whatever calls to you about your past, the impending future, or specific dreams you might have. There is no one to say no to you! No one.
It reminds me of the freedom I felt when I was writing Each Day a New Beginning. Of course, I didn’t know at that time that it would ever be a book that would land in the hands of others. I was simply conversing with God on paper, using a legal pad and pen, in fact. I was desperately seeking some sense of His presence. Others of my friends seemed to have it, but it was so fleeting for me. I felt He was offering me guidance with every word I wrote. And He was assuring me with every word that He was right there and would always remain so. I just couldn’t remember except when I was sitting in that old beat-up recliner.
Never have I felt like I was the sole author of that book—or of any other book I have written, for that matter. What an amazing journey my writing has been. And I hope you as well are having an amazing experience with what you are being inspired to write in these pages.
Let’s take a brief right turn and consider for a moment an activity or adventure or new direction for your life that you’ve thought about daring to do. And let’s remember that God travels with you everywhere you go—absolutely everywhere. Does remembering this give you the courage to forge ahead?
What would that adventure or new direction be? This is the place to flesh it out. There is only you, your dream, and God’s presence. Why not have some fun with the idea and see how it feels as you write about it? In particular, see where the dream takes you. And don’t hesitate to write what is really there to be written.
No one is watching—except God, of course, and He has already said yes. Go for it. Here is the place and now is the time.
