The primary objective of this book is to offer up-to-date information and showcase the latest advancements in the field of biological sciences. The book covers a broad range of topics, from prokaryotic cyanobacteria to higher plants, and is divided into fourteen chapters. This makes it an ideal resource for graduate and post-graduate students, as well as young researchers and scientists. The book addresses subjects such as the molecular and biochemical diversity of microbes, stress biology, cyanotoxins, antimicrobial activity of drugs derived from plants, natural bioactive compounds of microbial origin, detection methods for genetically modified crops, and genomics and proteomics.
The book also includes extensive bibliographies at the end of each chapter, providing a valuable resource for further research. Overall, this book is an essential read for anyone in the fields of botany, biotechnology, bioinformatics, environmental sciences, agriculture, molecular biology, and other related disciplines in the biological sciences.
