Jeremy Strong, a former primary headteacher, has been writing for children for many years. He is hugely popular with children – he won the 1997 Children's Book Award for The Hundred-Mile-An-Hour Dog and was shortlisted for the Award in 1998 for My Granny's Great Escape.
