Caroline Linse has been a teacher, teacher educator, materials developer, researcher and language advocate for many years. She began her career as a kindergarten teacher in Mexico City and since then has been fortunate to have worked with learners and teachers in the USA (including rural Alaska), American Samoa, the Baltic Republics, Belarus, Korea and Northern Ireland. In addition, she has given workshops in many other countries including Bahrain, Oman, Taiwan, China, Ukraine, Peru, Guatemala, and Tunisia. Caroline has co-authored several Macmillan preschool course books with Elly Schottman. Her materials feature developmentally appropriate language rich activities aimed to delight both young learners and their teachers! She received her doctorate in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Elly Schottman is an early childhood educator and materials developer, with special interest in the fields of language and literacy development. She has co-authored several Macmillan ELT programs for young learners with Caroline Linse, including Doodle Town, Hats On Top, and Fingerprints. She has also created a variety of early literacy and science materials for the early childhood market. She currently works for US public television, developing digital and print materials for young children, teachers, and families.
