Author: Tony Russell has more than 30 years of experience in forestry and horticulture. He was head forester of Westonbirt Arboretum in England for 14 years, and later hosted several horticulture-based TV and radio programmes. Illustrator: Val Walerczuk is an internationally acclaimed illustrator known for his attention to detail. He is passionate about the natural world. Illustrator: Simon Treadwell attended the Istituto Europeo di Design Milan and later worked as Art Director in the advertising industry, before becoming a full-time illustrator.
