John Selby was educated at Haileybury, the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, and Christ’s College, Cambridge. He is a military historian and Senior Lecturer at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. His has written numerous other books, including a biography of Stonewall Jackson.
Michael Roffe is a talented painter of military subjects who has illustrated many books for Osprey over the years.
