Nick was born in Switzerland in 1953. Most of his childhood was spent in South East Kent and he went to boarding school from a young age. He qualified as a dentist and doctor at Guy’s Hospital where he met his wife. He worked in Nottingham as a consultant ENT surgeon and was appointed Special Professor in 1999. He has written 320 papers, 38 chapters and 7 books in the field of medicine. This is his first literary endeavour.
